Gluten Free Pizza & Sauce Recipes
Gluten Free Pizza recipes are a favorite meal or snack. These gluten free pizza crust and pizza sauce recipes are easy to make and quick to be eaten! Gluten free crust pizza: 1 tablespoon dry yeast 2/3 cup brown rice flour ½ cup and 2 tablespoons tapioca flour 2 tablespoons xantham gum ½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin powder 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning 2/3 cup warm milk or non-dairy liquid 1/2 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon olive oil 1 teaspoon cider vinegar *additional rice flour for dispersing Gluten Free Pizza Sauce 1/2 c. onion-diced 2-3 garlic cloves-chopped 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 8oz. can tomato sauce 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves 1/2 teaspoon crushed dried rosemary 1/8 teaspoon anise seeds 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 2 teaspoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt Toppings can be any of the individual choice. Instructions for preparing sauce: Saute' onions and garlic in olive oil until tender, combine remaining sauce ingredients in small saucepan and bring to a boil over meduim heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes. Makes about 1 cup. *Leftover sauce? Serve as a dipping sauce with the pizza! Instructions for preparing crust: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In medium mixing bowl using beaters, stir the yeast, flours, xanthan gum, salt, gelatin powder, sugar and Italian seasoning until blended. Add oil and vinegar to the luke-warm milk then add to dry ingredients. Beat on med-high speed for 3 minutes. The flour mixture will match soft bread dough. Put the mixture on 12-inch pizza cooking pan or baking sheet, or 11 x 7-inch pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Liberally sprinkle rice flour onto bread, and then press dough into cooking pan, continuing to sprinkle dough with flour to keep dough from sticking to hands. Make edges a little thicker to keep the toppings in place. Brush crust and crust edges with light coating of olive oil, then bake pizza crust for 10 minutes. Take out of oven, top the pizza crust with sauce and the chosen toppings. Bake for another 20-25 minutes or till top is nicely brown.
